From softness and thickness to stretch and durability, not all jersey scarves are made or feel the same. Our Classic Jersey hijab is intentionally designed to offer a different experience from our Soft Jersey, making it the perfect choice for women who prefer a more structured, thicker scarf.
Classic Jersey is made from high-quality polyester, a material most of us already have in our wardrobes - whether in scarves, dresses, or knitwear. What makes polyester special is its versatility. It can be engineered and refined in countless ways, resulting in fabrics with very different looks and feels.
While polyester is not a renewable material, it is exceptionally durable and long-lasting. It holds up well over time, retaining its shape, color, and structure even with frequent wear. This makes it a conscious choice for pieces designed to last - not to be replaced after a few uses.
Our goal is to contribute to a capsule wardrobe, where each item is intentionally selected for longevity and function, moving away from fast fashion and reducing a throwaway culture.
Not all polyester is the same
Just like any other fabric, polyester comes in a wide range of qualities. It can feel stiff and inexpensive - or soft, flexible, and highly durable. The difference lies not in the name of the material itself, but in how it is produced, finished, and constructed.
You can see this clearly by simply looking through your own wardrobe or visiting a clothing store - the same material label can feel completely different from one garment to another.
For our Classic Jersey hijab, we made a deliberate choice to develop a high-quality polyester jersey that maintains its structure while remaining comfortable to wear.
